Board Chair: Phil Mooring – Mr. Mooring is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over thirty years experience. He is the Executive Director of Families in Action, Inc. Vice-Chair: Cindy Murphy – Ms. Murphy is the Director of Prevention Services for Anuvia Prevention and Recovery Center in Charlotte. She holds a Master of Public Health Degree in Community Public Health, is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant, and has worked in the field of prevention for 11 years. Treasurer: LaTasha Murray – Ms. Murray is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant who has been in the field over 6 years. She is the Director of Prevention for Robeson Health Care Corporation in Pembroke. Secretary: Deeanna Hale-Holland – Ms. Hale-Holland is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant and has worked in the prevention field 20 years. She is the Prevention Director for Coastal Horizons Center in Wilmington and represents the Eastern Center for Prevention Resources and the NC Substance Abuse Federation. Margaret Blackmon – Ms. Blackmon is the Executive Director of the Pitt County Substance Abuse Coalition. She has twenty years of experience in the ethical pharmaceutical industry and has worked with coalitions for more than seven years. She co-chairs the Coalitions Committee. Terri Fowler – Ms. Fowler is the Program Manager for Unlimited Success/Partnership for Drug Free NC in Winston Salem. She has worked in the field for over 6 years. Ronny Holste – Mr. Holste is the Substance Abuse Prevention Director for the Western Youth Network in Boone. He has worked in the field for over 2 years and been involved with MADD and other family/youth organizations. Betty Johnson – Ms. Johnson began her work in substance abuse prevention and advocacy more than twenty years ago. She is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant working with CCI/CASCADE Services in Charlotte N.C. Angela Maxwell – Ms. Maxwell serves as the Prevention Services Manager for Alcohol and Drug Services, based in Greensboro. She is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant and has worked in the field for over 15 years. Maceo Mayo – Mr. Mayo is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant who has worked in the field more than 20 years. He currently is a supervisor for Freedom House of Mecklenburg in Charlotte. Stephen Newman – Dr. Newman is the Director of Wellness for the Mecklenburg County Health Department in Charlotte. A Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant, he has worked in the field for over 20 years. Travis Peterson – Mr. Peterson is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant living and working in Western North Carolina. He has 5 years prevention experience and 3 years treatment experience. Kim Sexton-Lewter – Ms. Sexton-Lewter has worked in the field for over six years and is a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro at the Gove Student Health Center. Al Stein Seroussi – Dr. Stein-Seroussi is a Senior Program Evaluator with nearly 20 years of experience assisting states and communities assess their substance abuse prevention initiatives. He is employed by the Chapel Hill Center of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation and has worked with numerous prevention providers throughout the state. Debbie Sudekum – Ms. Sudekum is the Prevention Director for PORT Human Services located in Greenville and a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant. She has worked in the field for over 20 years. |
