The National African American Tobacco Prevention Network invites you to participate in an expert panel discussion on Promising Practices for Tobacco Prevention and Control in African American Communities on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The webinar and live panel discussion, taking place from 1:00 -4:00 pm at the Friday Center in Chapel Hill, NC, will generate a list of recommendations and promising practices that will serve as valuable tools and resources for state programs, national partners, and other agencies working with the African American community.

The primary objectives include: 

1) Outcomes impacting tobacco control and prevention in African American communities as a result of local, statewide and federal tobacco control initiatives; 2) Promising practices for environmental policy changes, community competent initiatives and cessation services for African Americans; 3) Opportunities for action that can significantly impact African American communities and 4) Prioritization of opportunities for action and expanded implementation of promising practices
