PREVENTION IS THE ANSWER: THE ONE VOICE FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION IN NORTH CAROLINA

SAMHSA’s National Prevention Week Tool-Kits

Posted: May 7th, 2012

The National Prevention Week Toolkit contains information for communities on this national observance, event ideas, budgeting tips, tools for event promotion (including templates for traditional and social media), fact sheets, and recommended resources. We encourage you to share this Toolkit with individuals and community organizations that may be interested in hosting a National Prevention Week 2012 community event.

You can visit the National Prevention Week Web site for additional information on this health observance and for a listing of events occurring throughout the country. Also, please go to the “Prevention Pledge” through SAMHSA’s Facebook page. By taking the “Prevention Pledge” visitors can commit to a healthy lifestyle free of substance abuse, and share this pledge with friends, family, and loved ones. Please share the National Prevention Week Web site and the “Prevention Pledge” with community organizations, colleagues, and partners that may be interested in observing National Prevention Week. Through this initiative we hope to show how small actions can make a meaningful difference in preventing substance abuse and promoting mental health.
