Family Impact and Compulsive Gambling

June 5, 2012 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in Cherokee, NC

To raise awareness and provide education the North Carolina Problem Gambling Program (NCPGP) and the Division of MH/DD/SAS is sponsoring this workshop to provide in-depth knowledge about how to work with family members and loved ones impacted by problem gambling. Recovery from pathological gambling is greatly enhanced when family members become involved in treatment. This training will teach clinicians how to use evidence based models like Motivational Interviewing and Stages of Change models with family members of problem/pathological gamblers.
