This presentation will discuss prescription drug abuse trends in North Carolina and the nation. Participants will learn the role of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation DECU (diversion unit) in diversion investigations. The discussion will also describe the strategies being used to combat this growing epidemic and challenge participants to consider the multi-disciplinary partnerships needed to deal with diversion in our state.
