Presentation Description: Substance abuse and addiction is an ever present challenge to all segments of any community. The need to have as many members of the community actively involved in finding solutions to the issues created by substance abuse and addiction is also a challenge. This webinar will explore possibilities in each participant’s community as local identified problems are addressed as well as common barriers across most communities. A brief history of the role of the faith will enlighten participants while inspiring them to rekindle what has been significant participation in community efforts to address human services issues. Key communication tips will also be presented. The experiences of the consultant in working with a variety of faith communities will shed light on how to move towards greater involvement.
